Driving in the Dark

Driving in the Dark

A Sermon by Pastor John Valentine on the text of Acts 15:1-18 — the story of the Council at Jerusalem.   The title refers to a quote by novelist E. L. Doctorow, who once said that “writing a novel is like driving a car at night. You can only see as far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way.”  The sermon itself speaks to how best we can make wise (and longer-term) decisions when we can only see “as far as our headlights”.
