Pysanky — Ukrainian Easter Eggs

UKRAINIAN EGG DECORATING (PYSANKY) CLASS
Learn the fascinating art of making Pysanky — Ukrainian Easter Eggs. Decorated using a unique wax-resistant batik method and traditionally created during Lent, Pysanky were given as treasured gifts. Dye and decorate your own in this 3-hour workshop led by local folk art teacher, Evie Michon.  Classes are scheduled for March 3 and 10, from 9 a.m. to noon.  You may attended either session (or both, if you’d like!) at a cost of $20 per session.  (Please note that class sizes are limited to 20 persons at each event.)
This event is hosted by Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church, 433 Moraga Way, Orinda — with all profits being donated to the Moraga Rotary in support of their All-access Playground Project for Moraga Commons.  For more information, please contact Sharon Tissue at q1w2tissue@gmail.com.
