Q. Do volunteers need experience?
A. Volunteers need to have a genuine love for the older adult. Interaction with the participants requires patience and the ability to converse with individuals whose response may sometimes be limited. Scheduled volunteer trainings are provided on a regular basis.
Q. How much time am I required to work?
A. The Volunteer Orientation begins promptly at 10:30 a.m. The program hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the ability to commit to at least two days per month. The Center is open Monday through Thursday with the exception of the following designated holidays:

Q. What would I do at the Center?
- Help engage participants with memory impairment in the day’s activities
- Assist with socialization and offer compassion and reassurance to the program participants
- Support the staff in providing a loving, caring, and safe environment
